Mr. Braunsberg was born and raised in Pottstown, Pennsylvania.  He graduated from Pottstown High School in 1980. After spending a year wandering aimlessly, he joined the United States Navy and served proudly for almost 6 years.  Most of his time was spent stationed out of Norfolk, Virginia on the Auxillary Oiler and Replentishment ship, the USS Milwaukee.  Mr. Braunsberg was an electrician and spent his time at sea making sure the lights were burning and the screws were turning. He recieved an honorable discharge from the Navy in 1987.
Upon returning home, he once again found himself wondering about a career.  He worked at the Pottstown Waste Treatment plant for a year before deciding to return to school and become a teacher.
He enrolled at Penn State Abington for 3 semesters and then moved south to Clarksville, Tennessee.  He attended Austin Peay State University for 1 year before returning to Pottstown.  He enrolled at West Chester University and finally graduated in the fall of 1994.  He began working for his alma mater in the 96-97 school year.  He would later return to WCU to get his Masters Degree of Secondary Education.

At Pottstown, Mr. Braunsberg teaches ESS and coaches the golf team.  He can also be seen at most basketball and wrestling events selling tickets.
Mr. Braunsberg has been happily married to his beautiful wife Lysa for almost 13 years.  They live in Pottstown with their two cats Gracie and Sophie.  They have no children of their own, but teaching 75 or so 14 year olds every day is parenting enough.
Mr. Braunsberg spends most of his free time playing golf with his buddies at Twin Ponds,  where he also works part time which allows him to play as much as he wants for free.
