Classroom students should submit the Outside Project
the last night of class
The Outside Project is an extension
of the Educational Web Site.
PROJECTS MUST BE POSTED ON WEB SERVER (Geocities, Tripod for those who do not have a school or organization server)
Follow the design template in the University of
Phoenix Material “Outside Project Flowchart.” found on the rEsource page
ADD a navigational to the Educational Web Site
to this project using the same navigational buttons and appropriate graphics related to the instructional objectives.
1.
Create a Web page that includes a 50-word description for each of ten similar classes
and/or courses at schools located outside your state. At least two of the ten classes and/or courses must be from different
countries. Provide hyperlinks (bookmarks) to and from each class and/or course description. Publish according to the Outside
Project Flowchart.
2.
Create a Web page that includes a minimum of three instructional objectives from a standards-based
curriculum unit previously taught or one that will be taught during the first week of school. Provide a hyperlink to your
state or national standards related to the instructional objectives. Publish according to the Outside Project Flowchart.
Note: As an alternative, using Internet search engines, you
may locate lesson plans that include instructional objectives.
3.
Create three Web pages that will be hyperlinked to the instructional objectives page
as stated in number two above. Include the following materials related to the curriculum unit as stated above. Publish according
to the Outside Project Flowchart.
a.
Page One - Teacher prepared materials related to one or more of the instructional objectives
(e.g., crossword puzzle, word search, worksheet)
b.
Page Two – A 50-word summary of at least three curriculum unit related articles.
Provide hyperlinks to each article. If the article is from the University of Phoenix University Library, or some other reference
source, state the article title, author, journal title, date, and database where retrieved. Include a 50-word explanation
of how you will incorporate the information from each article into your curriculum unit.

Page Three - Identify three Web related student activities addressing the instructional
objectives. Include a description on how you would implement each activity into your curriculum unit. Include hyperlinks for
student use. Some examples are WebQuests, PowerPoint® presentations based on Internet resources, and graphic organizers.
4.
Write a 100-350-word reflection on the process of creating the Web site and post to
the site according to the Outside Project Flowchart. The Reflection should include the following information:
a.
What Web-authoring tool(s) did you use?
b.
What challenges did you encounter?
c.
What steps did you take to solve the problems?
d.
What problems, if any, did you have posting to your selected Web-hosting server?
e.
Other items of your choice
