TASK
The object of this curriculum web is to allow you choices into your learning.
Follow the steps listed below to begin your journey.
Introduction:
1.
The
first thing that you have to do is to get in groups of 5. This is a cooperative
learning assignment and it is very important that all members of your group participate.
Choose your partners wisely.
2.
Once in your groups, everyone in
the group should read the about the 4 major topics for this assignment. They
are Earthquakes, Volcanoes, plate tectonics and Geologic History. A brief introduction
to each can be found under TOPICS from the homepage.
3.
Once your group has agreed upon a
topic, you each must choose a job that each of you will be responsible for. These
jobs are listed under the heading of GROUPS form the main homepage. The jobs
are Geologist-in-Charge, Research Specialist, Information Specialist, Activity Director and Technologist.
The Task:
4. Your group must
choose one of the subtopics from the topics page. Your assignment is to develop
a lesson plan that you will then be responsible to teach to the class. The lesson
should include all of the materials listed on the Assessment page. They include
a power point presentation, an activity, a review and an assessment of learning. Also
listed on the Assessment page is how your group will be graded. The rubrics for
the power point and your participation are listed on the Evaluation page.

You can choose from the sites listee or find your own. Either way, be sure to include your resources in your power point
presentation.
